Rodney Rowland

When I first came out to LA I didn’t have the slightest clue or knowledge about being an actor. I was extremely “green,” which is what they like to say out there for people who are new, young, and inexperienced.

I was very fortunate and blessed to discover a man by the name of Rodney Rowland. Rod was my first mentor and a huge inspiration to me in this career.

Obviously, the very first lesson we went over together was fundamental techniques … But, more importantly, it was about accepting life and taking confidence in your flaws!

“Love yourself and be confident,” Rod told me.

That has always stuck with me! He’s my secret weapon.

Although I’ve been learning many forms of acting, his technique and training has saved me in sticky audition scenes and landed me my first leading role in a film called Orange Sunshine which I promise to share more about later!

Rodney is an extremely gifted actor who was able and willing to pass his knowledge on to me. From him, I learned that life is the greatest gift of all. His style of acting is distinctive, unique and absolutely flawless.

When I take on roles, I’m able to morph into characters, understand their objectives, put a piece of me into every character, and fall in love with each role and the artistry it takes to do so.

I know if it wasn’t for this man I wouldn’t be where I am in this career and I’m truly blessed and thankful to have him as a mentor and inspiration! Thank you, Rod.
