First thing I have to say is this that man right here, Vin Diesel, inspired me and is the reason I’m achieving my dream today! I want to share a small story about him because I owe him for everything.

If it wasn’t for the kind, encouraging words he told me I wouldn’t be where I’m at today. Back in 2015, I got an opportunity to be on the set of Fast and Furious 7 as an extra but little did I know, that day would completely change everything for me. A PA on set told me to stand in the back and observe what was happening, then after an hour, I saw this crowd of people surrounding Vin wanting his attention. I was completely unaware of what was actually happening until he ran straight into me, which is how I ended up getting to speak with him.

More than half an hour go by of just Vin Diesel and I chatting away. My heart was racing out of my chest, reminding me this could be the moment that changes my life forever. Despite my nerves, there was this calmness in the air.

Vin told me something that I tell myself before every audition to this day, “Dreams come true,” he said, and that’s what I’ve held onto.

I had absolutely no knowledge of the field or of acting, I was a high schooler on track to be a college wrestler and that was going to be my life. But after sitting there and listening to him tell me about his life, how he started his remarkable career and all the obstacles he has faced in achieving his goals – it ignited a fire in my heart that was waiting to be sparked!

As time went on I dropped out of college and left behind a life of stagnation that wasn’t suited for me, and  I went for my dream and followed my heart.

I now realize that no one ever “peaks” in this career, and that’s an absolutely beautiful part about it!  Thanks to Mr. Diesel’s guidance and advice I was able to meet incredibly creative and hardworking people who got my feet moving! To me, Vin’s an angel and a gifted human being and I’m blessed to have met him. Still waiting on the day we will work together, and mark my words, it’s happening!
