Hi, so some of you may know I just recently wrapped on the set of Lesbros. It’s a comedy series coming to you. It was so much fun and a huge learning experience.
Some of you might know my strong-suit is drama and getting to learn more about comedy and jumping into it was a blessing.
In comedy, you learn that timing is absolutely key and have to be quick on your toes. You also realize the pace of shooting a scene is quicker than drama but it’s the same calm peacefulness as any project.
It’s true you’ll actually learn a lot more doing the job than in a room with a teacher and that applies to everything in life.
I wasn’t trained in dramatic acting so I was totally soaking in everything. It was a neat experience watching all the actresses do their scenes I was blown away by the talent. Also, the atmosphere of the set was different very laid back and peaceful. Seeing so much laughter and smiles were amazing.
It’s true that laughter cures everything and if you get someone to laugh you did a better job than you could’ve done and it helps everyone out.
The DP, as well as the director, worked so well as a team and every shot was accomplished and doable. I got a different kind of high and I have to say I do love comedy and plan on doing it more in the future.
I do wanna mention that our director Elise Dean was by far one of the best directors I’ve worked with in my career. She’s has this calm presence to her that makes working with her easy and fun. She’s also amazing because she has a lot of trust in the actors and has open ears when we brought things to the table. Another thing that I was truly amazed by was her style of shooting and planning. She was so on point with everything I’ve never seen a director kill long shots like she did it’s truly a gift. Last but not least, she has the most beautiful soul ever and it was an honor to work with her and I hope I’ll work with her again in the future.
Everyone from cast to crew was extremely talented and worked great as a team.
This show airs hopefully in November and you’ll see for yourself why everyone did so phenomenal. I’m so excited for you all to see it.
